Characterisation

Flexible metallic conducting components from Witzenmann are employed where highly demanding requirements are made on the thermal and chemical resistance, leak tightness and service life, for compensation of movements and decoupling of vibrations. Apart from the operational strength, other characteristics such as static and dynamic stiffness, movement limits or natural frequencies are important for the proper function of a given application. Measuring equipment that is adapted to the specific tasks in the characterisation of flexible metallic conducting components is used to measure these functional properties.

Fluid dynamics are also important for flexible pipe elements. The possibilities available from flow bench tests range from the measurement of the pressure loss of a metal hose to the determination of the characteristics of heat exchangers.
